Attendance: Dave Bear, George Gale, Joe Hayes, Andy Kassel, Bruce Klaus, Thad McCanse

Brother McCanse kicked off this month's meeting with a bit of history. "59 years ago today, it was raining in St. Louis during a bus and cab strike." Who knew?! President Kassel gave his report from his recent attendance at Grand Chapter and the Balfour Leadership Training Workshop. Significant happenings at Grand Chapter included the addition of 3 Grand Trustees for a total of 18 to help Chapter House Corps manage their affais. Also in a close vote Alexis Stabler, daughter of former Oakland Raiders great Kenny "the Snake" Stabler, was elected as the International Sweetheart from the University of Alabama. 1700 undergraduates were in attendance at this years BLTW hosted at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill campus. The largest Balfour Workshop ever.

Upcoming events include the Xi Xi initiation this Saturday at the House. Attendees are encouraged to arrive between 9-9:30am. Also the annual Sid Weber BBQ is forthcoming on Thursday, September 10th at Rob Westrich's estate in Webster Groves. This event is hosted by the St. Louis Alumni Chapter and more information is available on our website.

The meeting concluded with a lively discussion on medical practices conferred on the anatomies of members in attendance, the details of which are far to vulgar to grace the pages of a document this venerable. Lets just be thankful for the advancements of modern medicine in these sensitive areas! Until October...

Fraternally,

Joe Hayes
