CENTRAL MISSOURI SIGMA CHI ALUMNI CHAPTER
December 13, 2006 Meeting

Some of the usual suspects, namely: Brothers Dave Bear, George Gale, Joe Hayes, Andy Kassel, Bruce Klaus, Thad McCanse, and Eoghan Miller met at the upper level of the Boone Tavern dining area.  As usual, the noise level was elevated, so this report may be less than perfect, but not much.

Brother Gale talked about his meeting with our Colony, and mentioned a letter to their parents explaining our situation.  We are to tour our house this coming Saturday, along with members of the Colony, as their assessment is encouraged.  Of the 22 present members four would not live in the house as upper classment or property owners in town.  The Colony is to have a retreat at the Lake of the Ozarks.  Also, alumni members, preferably young ones, are needed at Colony meetings.

President Klaus mentioned Zack White and Omar Chaudry were no longer members of the Colony.  He also said Huntsman's largesse offers had not reached Headquarters for some reason.  Then, in an emotional outburst our peerless President thweatened to thwack anyone who tried to thwart his efforts at getting Xi Xi reestablished at MU.  "I won't sit by and thwittle while our plans are sabotaged."  (Editor's note:  This is the first known instance of the word "thweatened" in the English language.  However, "thwack" and "thwart" are widely recognized terms, while "thwittle" is much less so.)

There was a discussion of our interview processs with prospective members.  It was felt that it seemed to be a requirement for admission.  Members of the Colony suggested that we should make it an introduction of the alumni or conversations with alumni.

1919 and 1920 memorabilia were passed around.  The Colony is technically in Phase I of the admission procedure, though elements of Phase II have been done.  Many other things may have transpired but they were unimportant or inaudible.

Respectfully submitted,
