This month we experienced a leadership flashback as our President, Andy Kassel, was unable to attend this month. President Emeritus Bruce Klaus lead the group through lunch in conversation with topics ranging from Meditteranean politics to state flatulence laws. Those fortunate enough to attend were Brothers Thad McCanse, Eoghan Miller, Bruce Klaus, Joe Hayes, George Gale and his brother-in-law Lee Bland who is a Sig visiting from Kansas City.

The meeting began with Brother McCanse announcing his candidacy for the Presidency of the United States under the moniker of "Thaddeus the Good". Motivated by the recent finality of the Presidential Primary season, Brother McCanse felt it was the appropriate time for himself to enter the race. Stay glued to the website for coverage of this sure-to-be awe inspiriing campaign.

Chapter business was light, the group congratulated Brother Gale on his inputs into the most recent E-Tiger Sig publication that was recently sent out from the Xsi Xsi Chapter at the University of Missouri. We also received a treasurer's report citing a balance of $540. We are still awaiting the cashing of our most recent Ritual supply check to the Westminster Chapter. Logis says it was probably lost so we will resend. Brother Klaus also recommend we form an exploratory committee to research the possibility of putting together a book of Sigma Chi stories from local alumni that we could sell as a fundraiser. A "Chicken Soup for the Sigma Chi Soul" type of publication. More discussion to follow but we'll have to make an audio version so Brother Klaus will be able to participate.

The meeting concluded with the decision to forgo our regular August meeting so that we could spend our time being involved with the Balfour Workshop happening on the MU campus the 1st of August and the MU Chapter Initiation happening in mid-August.

 Until October...

Respectfully Submitted,

Joe Hayes
